JRNL 71 - Health, Science and Environmental Reporting

Semester Hours: 3
Periodically
This course will teach students to identify, report, and write stories on health, science, and the environment for print publications and the Web.  Students will examine the work of  leading science writers.  Philosophical, ethical and public policy issues raised by the media’s coverage of science, medicine, and environment will also be addressed.  Off-campus community research and reporting time is required.


Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes:
JRNL 13. May not be taken on a Pass/D+/D/Fail basis.
