SED 154 - Teaching of MathematicsSemester Hours: 3 Fall
Focuses on instructional planning, teaching methodologies, materials, classroom organization and assessment in secondary (grades 7-12) mathematics. Electronic technologies and multiple strategies for engaging students in the discovery and application of mathematical principles are explored. Modes of instruction for promoting reading, writing, and communication skills in mathematics are addressed. Fifty hours of classroom participation/observation are required in secondary schools.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: SED 151. May not be taken on a Pass/D+/D/Fail basis.
