MPHY 241 - Radiation Therapy Physics II Semester Hours: 2 Fall
Principles of modern radiation therapy, including the following: three-dimensional conformal, intensity-modulated, and image-guided radiation therapies; inverse planning in radiation therapy; stereotactic radiosurgery; intravascular and high-dose-rate brachytherapies; prostate implants; tomotherapy; cyberknife; rapid arc; neutron, proton, and heavy ion therapy.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: MPHY 240 . Open only to students enrolled in the M.S. program in medical physics or permission of program director. May not be taken on a Pass/Fail basis. (Formerly Radiation Oncology Physics II; 3 s.h.)
