PHA 215 - Physical Examination and Diagnostic Modalities I Semester Hours: 3 Fall
This is the first of a three-semester sequenced course focusing on the medical interview, physical examination techniques, laboratory studies, radiologic testing and other modalities that foster the development of diagnostic skills. Emphasis is placed on history taking, physical examination skills, note writing and oral presentation skills. Instruction will cover conceptual material, examination and interview techniques that will be reinforced in the laboratory portion of the course. Lab medicine and diagnostic imaging will also be covered in this course.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: Open only to students enrolled in the professional phase of the Physician Assistant Studies Program. May not be taken on a Pass/Fail basis.
