JRNL 010 - Digital Storytelling ToolsSemester Hours: 3 Fall, Spring
This course is a broad survey of the modern tools for reporting and storytelling that are redefining the profession. Students learn to leverage social media, tell stories with photos, video, audio, and data, and edit media with industry-standard software. Students gain an understanding of the ethical, legal, and technological issues in the changing media landscape including the web, mobile, and emerging platforms. Outside original research and reporting time is required.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: WSC 001 . May not be taken on a Pass/D+/D/Fail basis. No liberal arts credit. Lab fees additional.
