SPAN 114A - (LT) Introduction to Spanish Literature ISemester Hours: 3 Periodically
An overview of works of literature written in Spanish between the thirteenth and the seventeenth centuries. The works will be analyzed by studying the literary texts and the historical, political, and linguistic context in which the works were written. Iberian works written in other languages, such as Arabic, Mozarabic, Catalan, and Galician-Portuguese, will also be analyzed in translation to provide a more detailed account of the context in which Spanish literature emerged during this period. This course, as all courses with the SPAN prefix, is taught in Spanish.
