SPAN 120 - Cultural Studies in Spain Today

Semester Hours: 3

This course aims to make students familiar with recent history and contemporary culture in Spain. The course will use a multidisciplinary approach to explore the tensions and key moments that have shaped Spanish culture in the last two decades. Students will be exposed to different forms of cultural expression: literature, art, music and performance, television, etc. Class meetings will combine short lectures with in-class discussions of relevant texts and visual documents. This course, as all courses with the SPAN prefix, is taught in Spanish.
