SPAN 197 - Departmental Honors Candidacy: EssaySemester Hours: 3
Fall, Spring
The research for and the writing of a substantial essay (in either Spanish or English) in any literature, linguistics, or cultural topic related to the Spanish-speaking world. Open only to senior Spanish majors who desire to graduate with departmental honors. This course, as all courses with the SPAN prefix, is taught in Spanish.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes:
Senior standing. Permission; written permission of the professor who will supervise the essay and appropriate grade point average. (See Departmental Honors Program .)
