PHYS 155 - Modern Physics Laboratory I
Measurement of the atomic constants; atomic spectra; X-ray diffraction; mass spectroscopy; electron paramagnetic resonance; Rutherford scattering; vacuum deposition and thin films; nuclear physics including counting techniques, alpha, beta and gamma spectra, neuron cross sections and activation analysis. (3 hours laboratory.)
