A Minor in Public Relations consists of the successful completion of 18 semester hours in Public Relations, with at least 15 semester hours in residence, under advisement, and with the approval of the adviser. Students who minor in Public Relations must complete the following sequence of courses:

• JRNL 1 - Ethics and Principles of the American News Media Credits: 3 s.h.
• JRNL 11 - News Writing and Reporting Credits: 3 s.h.
• JRNL 15 - Broadcast News I Credits: 3 s.h.
• JRNL 60 - Fundamentals of Public Relations Credits: 3 s.h.
• JRNL 62 - Public Relations Research Methods and Assessment Credits: 3 s.h.
• JRNL 63 - Public Relations Copywriting Credits: 3 s.h.
