Administered by the Department of Comparative Literature, Languages, and Linguistics.
Minors in the languages of the CLLL department (Arabic, Chinese, Classics [Ancient Greek and Latin], German, Hebrew, Japanese, Russian, and Post-Soviet Studies) allow students to understand language in general and the chosen language in particular, including its culture and history. Students in a language minor will develop analytical skills that can reinforce any major. A language minor enhances prospects for work or research in other disciplines and might also satisfy graduate school requirements for a second language. It is a valuable feature on an employment resume.
