Administered by the Department of Comparative Literature, Languages, and Linguistics.
The BA major in Chinese provides students with a solid foundation of Chinese language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening comprehension. In addition, through carefully selected elective courses, students gain an understanding of China’s literary and cultural traditions and history. Students are encouraged to augment their study of Chinese at Hofstra with study abroad
