Comparative Literature, Minor in

Minor Requirements - Total Semester Hours: 18


A minor in comparative literature consists of the successful completion of 18 semester hours as described below, with at least 6 hours in residence.

1. Language - Total Semester Hours: 9


Complete 6 s.h. in a language other than English beyond level 2; and complete 3 s.h. in another language other than English. 

2. Literature - Total Semester Hours: 9


9 s.h. in comparative literature or literature in translation (including French literature in translation, Italian literature in translation, and Spanish literature in translation), with one course in a non-Western literature.

These may include HUHC 013 and HUHC 014 (the Humanities component of Culture & Expression in Honors College)
