LING 007 - Linguistics of Asian Writing Systems

Students will learn and practice the contemporary forms of Chinese and Japanese ideograms and the Japanese syllabaries while studying the history of their development.

Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes:
Prior study of Chinese or Japanese is desirable but not necessary. (Formerly Chinese and Japanese Calligraphy and Language.)
