The B.S. major in sustainability studies allows students to complete a broad-based interdisciplinary course of study with required concentrations in sustainability, in the natural sciences, and in mathematics, and with a selection of relevant electives from across the curriculum.

Program Requirements
- Completion of 60 s.h. of course work as outlined below, consisting of 15 s.h. of required courses in sustainability and geography or technology and public policy (see below); 19 s.h. of science requirements (see below); 8 s.h. of mathematics requirements (see below); and 18 s.h. of electives, selected from the list of courses specified below. Courses with grades lower than a C- do not count toward the total number of hours required for the sustainability studies major.
- At least 15 s.h. must be completed in residence.
Sustainability Core - Semester Hours: 15
Science Requirements - Semester Hours: 19
Mathematics Requirements - Semester Hours: 8
Chosen from the following: Elective Courses - Semester Hours: 18
Select 18 s.h. of course work from this list. (GEOG 104, 151-154 and GS 104, 151-154 may be counted toward the 18 s.h. of elective credits with permission of the program director.)

Note that not all courses are offered every semester.
